Children In Need

Once again, Valley Invicta Primary School at Aylesford is proud and excited to be joining with many others around the UK to participate in this year’s Children in Need fundraising. Run by the BBC, their mission is to help ensure every child in the UK is safe, happy, secure and has the opportunities they need to reach their potential.

This year Children in Need falls on Friday 15 November, which coincides with Anti-Bullying Week. With that said, children will be taking part in different learning activities that contribute towards positive wellbeing, keeping active and staying mentally healthy.
You can help us make this a memorable week, and raise as much money as possible for Children in Need by supporting the following fundraising activities:

  • Design your own Pudsey Competition –This will be sent home to every child in the school in case they would like to enter. The deadline for this competition will be Thursday 14th November. There will be one winner in EYFS, KS1, LKS2 and UKS2 with each receiving a prize by the end of the following week.
  • Feel SPOTtacular – Friday 15th November - Children are invited to take part by wearing their own clothes. The theme for this year is yellow for Pudsey, pink for Blush or spots.

All children are invited to wear something yellow, pink or spotty for a voluntary donation of £1, but only those who donate will be entered into the ‘Design your own Pudsey Competition’.

Due to the school now being cashless, there will be a payment set up for £1 on School Gateway, if you wish to donate more than a £1 you can make multiple purchases.

We hope that you take the opportunity to join in with the fundraising this year, as together, we can make a big difference to the lives of children across the UK.

Many thanks for your support!
