Reading for Pleasure

To truly embed a culture of reading, we ensure that our children (across all year groups) have the opportunity to read for pleasure, have stories read to them and have the option to engage with our reading facilities throughout the school day. At 3pm each day, each class has story time; this will either be the class teacher reading an exciting book while modelling the fun this brings or it will be children having the opportunity to read their own book of choice. This dedicated time for reading is essential for our reading ethos and staff and children look forward to this time every day!
