Aylesford's Got Talent - Winners Announced!

Aylesford’s Got Talent has been running for a number of years and it is a great way to showcase all the outstanding talents we have here at Aylesford. This year, as we are in a very unusual time, we knew the best way to bring about happiness and joy was to encourage all the children to take part in sharing what they are best at.  This also allowed children to have a separate focus from doing their online work and improve their wellbeing by trying out new activities to share with the panel or even persevering with their current talent.

We encouraged the children to send the school office their talent videos and we had an astounding number of entries which all were at such a high quality. This made our job as panel members even harder! Miss Adams, Miss Stevens and I watched all the acts and had to make the extremely tough decision to put through the semi-finalists. This was communicated to them through a Team’s video call, which was a lovely way to see the children’s reactions and it allowed us to congratulate them personally.

The semi-finalists then sent in new videos; this was so exciting to see their progression throughout the process of Aylesford’s Got Talent. We then wanted to embed, the British Value of democracy, by allowing the children to vote for their favourite act.

The voting selected the winners for KS1 and KS2, and I can proudly congratulate the winners of Aylesford’s Got Talent 2021:

Harvey, Year 2

Jessica, Year 3

The excitement and joy this talent competition brought to these children during a very different time, shone through.

I would like to finally congratulate every pupil who entered Aylesford’s Got Talent, you should be very proud of yourself and continue to persevere with your amazing talents!

Below, please find the links to the winner’s talent videos via our YouTube channel:
