Children In Need

From Monday 9 - Friday 13 November, the whole of Aylesford Primary School came together to raise money for Children in Need. Children took part in some ‘Five to Thrive’ activities designed to boost physical and mental wellbeing; a ‘Design a Pudsey’ competition and a ‘Guess the sweets in the Jar’ competition in order to raise money.

On Friday, both staff and pupils dressed to impress in either their best pyjamas or Pudsey accessories! There was definitely some secret collaboration going on between the Office Team, Miss Stevens and Mr Harrington but the best outfit of the day went to Mrs Doe who ‘wowed’ us with her favourite dalmatian themed onesie!

The highlight of the week however was the Annual Duck Race Sweepstake. On Friday afternoon, the whole school tuned into the live event, with extreme anticipation to see which class duck would win the race. Throughout the school there were loud cheers for ‘The Quacken’, ‘Beaky Blinders’ and ‘James Pond’ but it was Miss Hookey and Beech class that eventually took first place with ‘Quackman and Bobbin’. It was a lovely afternoon of great fun for all involved and a fantastic end to an amazing week of fundraising.

We are proud to have been a part of raising awareness for Children in Need.
